Experience the Power of Prayer

Life brings many challenges, pressures, anxiety, and uncertainty, but our Lord Jesus Christ promised, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the world gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” (John 14.27).  And Luke 1.79 promises that Jesus will “guide our feet into the way of peace.”

Everything we do and accomplish at Woodland Shores starts and ends with praying to “the God of the impossible.”  Nothing is too hard for Him.

Here are several ways we promote prayer:

Connection Cards are provided in each Sunday worship bulletin where you can record your prayer need and praise note.

Prayer and Praise Sheets are available each week in the Lobby or at the Welcome Center.  These items keep us in touch with our Woodland family.

Monthly Prayer Digest. Each month we offer our best insights on prayer, provide short daily prayer suggestions that deepen church unity, and identify our "Top Ten" church needs.

Email Prayer Network.  Have an emergency need?  Contact the Church Office with your prayer need, or if you want to be part of the Email Prayer Network.  Your need will be distributed rapidly to Woodland friends ready to pray.

Telephone Prayer Network.  Have an emergency need but are not computer friendly?  Contact the Church Office with your prayer need, or if you want to be part of the Telephone Prayer Network.  Your need will be distributed rapidly via telephone to Woodland friends ready to pray.

Bible Study and Small Group Fellowships frequently include times of prayer for church members.

The Pastoral Staff prays each week for each item on the weekly Prayer and Praise Sheet by name and by need.

The Deacon Board prays each month for each item on the “Top 10” Ministry Needs at Woodland Shores, and for each item on the most recent Prayer and Praise Sheet.

Our Senior Pastor prays for church members by name and need each day.
